Class Summary

Part 1:  Complete the AHA BLS HEARTCODE . This may be purchased before or after you complete your registration here.  Submitted 8 hours prior to class, instructions sent upon registration.
Part 2: Attend the date/time scheduled here for the hands-on skills practice.
INCLUDES: 1 & 2-person CPR, AED & BVM use, Heimlich for all ages
DURATION: 2 Hours
CERTIFICATION PERIOD: 2 Years

Renewal – You need an active or “expired within 30 days” card of the same discipline  & organization.

Initial – If you are taking the course for the first time or expired past 30 days.

Yes, upon successful completion of the course, students receive an official American Heart Association certification, valid for two years. 

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
  • Important early use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
  • Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Step 1 – Student must independently purchase the AHA BLS HEARTCODE before or after registration here. 

This must be completed & submitted hours prior to the class start time per instructions sent upon registration. 

Step 2 – Show up to your scheduled skills session on the calendar shown to practice the Hands-On skills and receive your certification.

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and laymen who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers.
