Yes, you will receive an American Heart Association ACLS Provider Course Completion Card, valid for two years.

**AHA ACLS SKILLS SESSION**

Step 1: Requires purchase of the Heartcode (online portion) from the AHA for $160 after taxes. (4-5 Hours)

Step 2: You then need to find a local ACLS instructor and pay their skills checkoff fee, usually ranging from $115-145. Ours begins at $105. (1-2 Hours)

Cons: expensive (about $100 more), time consuming, usually 5 hours online and 2 in-person.

**AHA ACLS FULL CLASS**

Step 1: Complete the free pretest and precourse work (dependent on status if renewing or an initial) provided upon registration.

Step 2: show up to class and finish everything within approx 3 hours. 

Pros: about $100 Cheaper

Renewal – You need an active or “expired within 30 days” card of the same discipline  & organization.

Initial – If you are taking the course for the first time or expired past 30 days.

Upon registration, you will receive access to the ACLS algorithms and study material for class. 

You will also receive direct links to the ACLS pretest and ACLS pre-course work.

  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
  • Airway management
  • Related pharmacology
  • Management of ACS and stroke
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
