NRP Instructor-Led Event in Katy

The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is developed and maintained by the American Academy of Pediatrics in collaboration with the American Heart Association. NRP is a newborn resuscitation course. It is not the same as PALS or BLS.

How the NRP Provider route works

1. Part 1, online curriculum. You complete the NRP Provider online curriculum for your level on the NRP Learning Platform.
2. Part 2, instructor-led event with us. The hands-on event that matches your provider level.

Completing the online curriculum alone does not make you an NRP Provider. The instructor-led event is not optional. Afterwards your instructor approves your skills and your NRP Provider eCard is generated through the NRP Learning Platform.

Essentials or Advanced

There are two NRP Provider curricula, and the instructor-led event must match the one you completed:

• NRP Essentials – the core neonatal resuscitation content.
• NRP Advanced – Essentials plus the advanced content.

Your employer, hospital or clinical program decides which level you need. If your requirement only says “NRP”, please confirm the level with them before you buy a curriculum.

The 90-day rule

After completing Part 1 you generally have 90 days to complete the required instructor-led event.

When it will run at Katy

The NRP Instructor-Led Event is planned for 4302 Bolsover Sky Ct. Katy, TX 77449 on alternating Fridays, starting at 10:00 AM. ASLS and NRP alternate week by week, so each course runs every other Friday.

$230 paid online in full. The separate NRP Provider online curriculum on the NRP Learning Platform is not included in the Cardiox price.
